Reading this wonderful fairy tale by Dmytro Pavlychk about the faithful friendship of a boy and a deer, I still feel a special thrill, and even more so when it comes to this new - expanded and thorough - edition of the work, which the author made especially for our publication. It was my favorite book as a child. I hope you will like it too, because, in my opinion, "The Golden Horned Deer" is the best modern fairy tale poem for children. The poetic fairy tale so impressed the talented Lviv artist Olya Kvasha that she escaped to the Carpathian Mountains for several months to wander the paths of the Golden Horned Deer, inspired to create these seamless illustrations drawn in two different techniques, one of which filigree imitates traditional Hutsul tiles.
